Color Filter
I'm looking for a Camera Filter that is close to the color magenta?
when i was in maine i had these glasses (like elton john) that i think were magenta but when i looked at anything that was blue or pink it would intensify the color does anyone know what color it is where i can get a filter for my camera or another pair of these glasses ?

Tiffen 7280A 72mm 80A Color Conversion Glass Filter 80A filters increase color temperature of the light from 3200K to 5500K and correct the use of daylight film with standard household incandescent lamps. They have a filter factor of 2.4 and require 1 1/3 f-stops of additional light. All light sources, natural or artifical, have characteristics that affect color rendition on film. Most films are engineerd for either daylight or tungsten photofloods which are rated respectively at 5500K degrees (daylight) and 3400K degrees (photofloods) on the Kelvin(K) color temperature scale. Color correcting filters are designed to warm , cool and/or correct for the many variations of lighting you might encounter. All filters have a filter factor which is a measurement of the light it absorbes. Cameras with internal metering (through the lens) will automaticly adjust the exposure. With external or hand held meters you must allow for this factor. Note: Modern strobes (flash) are approximately 5500K and will overpower household lighting. |

The Imaging Source 1280 x 960 FireWire Color Astro Telescope Camera without IR Cut Filter With its 1280 x 960 pixel, the telescope camera DBK 41AF02.AS offers a very high resolution. It outputs uncompressed image data at a speed of 15 images per second. Using the shipped software - IC Capture.AS - you can capture lossless and uncompressed images sequences as AVI files. The CCD camera DBK 41AF02.AS outputs high resolution, uncompressed images at a high frame rate. These image sequences generate a large amount of data. In order to transfer these to the host PC, a very fast bus is required. Hence, the camera is fitted with a FireWire connector. Color CCDs output their data in RAW format. For visualization purposes this data cannot be used. It must first be subjected to a color interpolation process, in which the raw data is post processed. Much broader bandwidth is required to transfer interpolated images, than the original raw data from the camera. Color interpolation can be switched off in the CCD camera DBK 41AF02.AS. Tiffen # 3 Color Viewing Filter Contrast Viewing Filters Balancing lighting by eye is a matter of experience. Decisions can be aided through the use of contrast viewing filters. These are designed to handicap the eye, with its much greater range of apparent densities, to resemble the range of the various types of film. Use contrast viewers to judge relative highlight and shadow densities. There are viewers for black-and-white film, as well as various viewer densities for color film. A darker viewer is used for slower film speeds, where you would tend to use brighter lighting. Faster film, which can be used in dimmer settings would require a lighter viewer. The Tiffen #1 viewer is for black-and-white imaging. The #2 viewer is for film speeds to 100; #3 is for faster film. They can be used for video, as well, with the #3 being better suited for lower light levels. The green #4 viewer is for process photography.
