Which one do you recommend: Canon Rebel T2i(550d) or Olympus e-620?
Which one should I buy? It's going to be my first dslr. I know canon also records video, but I don't really care for that. As a beginner I like the art filters of Olympus. I don't know if Canon T2i has something like that... Does it? Anyway, taking everything except video recording into consideration which of these cameras would you recommend?
since you don't care about video, I think you should get the E-620, it has illuminated buttons, two card slots, and an articulating screen, which makes it a great tool for photographers. Only problem is, if you want to upgrade to full frame, you'll have to switch between brands, cause Olympus does not have a full frame camera.

Olympus OM-D E-M5 Digital Camera f you are looking forward to the Olympus OM-D E-M5, then you will be pleased to know that this particular shooter is going to hit the market on the last day of March this year. Having appeared on Amazon’s Japanese site with that particular estimated release date, the US counterpart remains mum on the situation though. It remains to be seen whether this Micro Four Thirds shooter will arrive in North America or not. I suppose if you are heading towards Japan sometime in the first quarter of the year, you can always pick one of these puppies up – otherwise, you can always take the risk of importing one at an inflated price point, or just keep your fingers crossed that Olympus will deliver this camera Stateside in due time. |
