An easy-to-do Visual Effect using only my camera?
Hey, I take a video production class in high school and I need a simple idea to make a visual effect without using computer editing. So something along the lines of putting a stained piece of glass in front of the camera for a filter, cutting two holes out of a piece of paper and putting in front of camera to make it look like binoculars, etc... only not those because I can't use those because the teacher gave those as examples. And I'd also appreciate it if it wasn't lame. =D

Try playing with perspective, manipulate something in different levels of deep perception with the focus. Place someone facing "north" and a few feet apart closer to the camera another person facing "south", they don't face each other, but the camera angle make it look like it does. after some seconds of conversation change the position of the camera (still rolling) to reveal the difference.
Even better, have 2 more persons in the shoot, one facing the closest one to the camera but off shoot, the other one facing the person away from the camera and hidden by the person closest to camera, then open he shoot (zoom out) and move to the center just a little to reveal the actor that was off shot and the one hidden by the closest to camera talent.
